growth maturity and the hope for a fashion model

to be honest, the reason i was first captured to catherine was because of her beauty, like many others. before catherine i thought perfection was unattainable, which of course it is, but shes really as close to it as it comes... however this is not what this blog is about. i could write about how beautiful she is and write sexy! cool! hot! on all of her editorials but im not quite that impressionable. maybe its the fact that i would choose to read a book over a magazine but i approach fashion and editorials with more of an eye towards the direction and look, rather than the clothes or models...i hope to follow cats career but moreover sift through the junk she does and find the beautiful (for example the difference between the nude atrosity in vogue germany and her beauty shots in vogue paris...) maybe with growth in a couple of years she will

like this editorial from german vogue, which i though was pretty much the ugliest thing to come from mario testino in a long time.
i saw no point to it really....
sure it showed catherines perfect body and boobs which i know a lot of people wouldnt protest (including me)... but what else?
the clothes were all hideous and from an artistic point of view the grafitti with the neon clothing was so cliche.. really its like putting balenciaga suits in an industrial factory... not creative
this editorial was definetly a lower point in her career

what id love to see is catherine challenging herself in editorials. i think she should choose wisely or shell become a vs type of girl (but thats a whole other debate)
a model i really like is daria werbowy. others like karen elson too. theyre as beautiful as cat but have managed to sort of go past that with her shots and expressions.... more aged in a way.. wiser looking. of course they are older looking and have started out longer but maybe in a while cat will grow to that level. like the editorial from vogue uk at left. it was absolutely beautiful... the mood setting, the faces. its the type of editorial i pay attention to because its not trying to say something.. it sort of whispers of nonchalance and beauty
one of cats editorial i just recently came across (you see, like much of the viewers of models im still getting to know more about her) included this picture at right
simply one of her best ever. like dark film noir.... the picture actually strikes a feeling in you - its memorable, not like the neon horror above (which can be memorable in bad ways)

sort of what this blog is about.... im still trying to get the hang of it but ive found it quite enjoyable so far!
